Exploring Non-Western Approaches to Wisdom: A Conversation with Omonblanks

We’re excited to announce an upcoming virtual event hosted by The New School at Commonweal, featuring a thought-provoking conversation between Susan Grelock Yusem, Narrative Director at Commonweal, and our very own founder, Omonblanks.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 30, and marks the beginning of a series dedicated to exploring non-Western approaches to wisdom. This series aims to highlight profound ways of understanding the world that are often dismissed or overlooked by Western thought. Some of the key themes to be explored include:

Interconnection
Collective well-being
Intuition
Artistic expression
Empathy
The wisdom of dreams

Through this conversation and a wider community inquiry, we will delve into these alternative forms of knowledge, offering a space to reflect on how they can enrich our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

This virtual event promises to be a unique opportunity to engage with wisdom traditions that emphasize connection, creativity, and collective care. Whether you’re interested in expanding your perspective or deepening your understanding of non-Western philosophies, this session will provide meaningful insights.
