About Adjoa Armah
Adjoa Armah’s multidisciplinary work delves deep into the themes of memory and the intricate narratives carried within our bodies. Through her art, she explores the intersections of grief, resilience, and cultural memory, shedding light on the layered histories that shape diasporic and post-colonial identities.
Adjoa is also the visionary behind saman archive, a remarkable collection of photographic negatives sourced across Ghana. This archive serves as a platform to investigate Akan temporalities and West African approaches to social and historical storytelling, offering new ways to conceptualize institution-building and memory preservation.
